If you are a frequent flier or traveler, why not turn your smartphone into your travel assistant?  I had a chance to try out WorldMate recently and find it extremely useful.  WorldMate, the mobile travel application is huge in mobile world.  You can either download the free application or go for Gold subscription.

These are the basic features provided by WorldMate. For more features you should go for Gold:-

1. World Clocks
Select the country of your choice and view up to 5 different clocks.

2. Currency Converter
Just key in the currency and WorldMate will convert it for you.

3. World Weather
View up to 5-day weather forecasts.

4. Weathercaster
You can get the automatic weather updates read to you by selecting the city and time. Cool feature!

5. Day/Night Map
Display current day and night World map.  View the time, temperature and weather of the location you have selected.

6. Flight Alerts.
Track your flight by selecting the airline,flight number and date.  The accurancy is superb. You can even track the flight detail such as flight status, flight delayed, terminal, gate etc.
