We walked around Chew Jetty today and really touched by the beauty of this traditional Chinese waterfront settlement.  The compact old wooden houses, the fishing boats, the wooden walkways, etc.  Ha!  You can find a hair salon here too.

Chew Jetty, the living heritage site you should visit if you travel to Penang.   Chew Jetty is one of the clan jetties besides Lee Jetty, Tan Jetty etc.

You can even enjoy the beautiful view of Penang bridge and ferries from the jetty and of course this is a nice place to play hide & seek.  I am not joking. There is a group of people participated in treasure hunt at Chew Jetty today.

There is even a home stay program and you might want to enjoy a boat ride and BBQ here too.

We plan to visit this heritaga site again and other clan jetties.
