Best Chicken and Pork Rice In The World
You can only find the best chicken and pork rice in the world here. Only at Jalan Danby, Bukit Mertajam.
As my brother said, with its secret sauce and green pickle chilies, the rice taste heavenly.
The rice is cooked individually in the metal bowl then the soup is served using the same bowl. This is the uniqueness of this rice too. Due to the metal bowls, some people call it cup rice.
Famous Wan Tan Mee
I visited this famous stall of Bukit Mertajam again and it is interesting to watch them preparing Wan Tan Mee.

You can visit my earlier post The most famous Wan Tan Mee From BM for more photos and videos.
Famous Bukit Mertajam Dry Noodle
Super yummy dry noodle. Try this dry noodle from Bukit Mertajam. You can find this stall just beside Jit Sin Independent High School.
There is only one stall in this coffee shop. This stall sells Char Kway Teow, Kway Teow Soup and Fried rice. However, we always order the delicious dry noodle. Add a little bit of pepper and a little bit of sambal. The noodle really taste wonderful. We were thinking of another extra bowl.
The other day I saw the coffee shop was packed with students. Wow! The business is incredibly good and it needs only one stall. Feeling hungry?
Famous Mixed Rice in Bukit Mertajam
As you know Penang is a paradise for food lovers. Therefore, another post regarding food. Recently, The New York Times nominated Penang as one of 44 places to go in 2009. This is absolutely correct. I must write more about Penang…..
Try to imagine roasted chicken and pork rice with delicious sauce, soup & chili. I don’t know how to call this rice but the name given is nasi campur (mixed rice in Malay language). This mixed rice can be found only in Bukit Mertajam.
Tada! Check out the photo here. Very delicious and special! See the sauce?

Notice the bowl with the soup? The same bowl which is earlier used to cook the rice. I find this unique.
After a while, the food seller inform the crowd the rice has finished. Come again tomorrow.
